This was made known by Mike Okiro, The Chairman of the Commission at a press conference in Abuja stated that the screening exercise will hold in the 36 States of the federation on June 6, 2016. the reason for the commission's decision to hold it across the 36 states is to reduce crowding.
In consequence he stated that the shortlisted candidates according to rank is as follows:
- 44,661 for cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
- 87,736 for cadet Inspector.
- 205,830 for Police Constables.
- 262,426 applied for cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP),
- 211,832 applied for Cadet Inspector
- 437,144 for Police Constables.
"The names of candidates will be pasted at the entrance of Bayelsa State Police Command on Friday June 3 from 10.00 a.m.
"Applicants who did not receive confirmation via email or SMS are advised to check their names and copy their Identification number preparatory for the screening exercise scheduled to commence on the June 6," according to the statement sourced NAN.
